Summary
J. Sowder: Traditional pen and ink artist, working on small press zines and indy comics. I've designed custom artwork for a variety of clients, and I primarily specialize in classic pulp and horror themes with a fresh new twist.
My art has been featured in the book SCARED SACRED from House of Leaves Pub (Foreword by Doug Bradley), the LOVECRAFT E-ZINE, Golden Bell Studio's SUNDAY FUNNIES, the 2024 anthology GARBOLOGY from youtube personality CriminOily. I've also supplied work for podcasts and youtube channels such as UNITED NATION OF HORRORS, ON AIR WITH BRETT FOX, DRABBLETAILS and the late, great HORROR ETC .
I am a regular artists for Drew Edward's comic book HALLOWEEN MAN. My other comic art has been published by Red Stylo Studios, Antarctic Press and A.C. Comics. You can also find my work featured in Daniel Blanchard's COMIC NASTIES, vol 1 and 2.
